The Magnet Theater Core Curriculum
The Magnet Theater core curriculum offers a complete improv education. A solid foundation in improv fundamentals coupled with ample performance opportunities, which empower students to become great performers.

Each level builds on the previous level to ensure an enriching and rewarding experience with improv. The core curriculum consists of three levels culminating with a Senior Project, an advanced study of long form followed by a 4-week run ofshows.

Level One: The Principles of Improv

Level Two: Intro to Long Form

Level Three: Long Form Intensive

Level Four: Senior Project-Advanced Study of Long Forms

After the completion of The Magnet Theater Core Curriculum, students will be eligible to apply for The Magnet Theater Conservatory.

All students must start at Level One.

Finding it difficult to commit to an eight week session? Then this is the class for you! Feel free to drop in to any of these workshops with Mark Grenier.

Experiment with improv in ways that complement your classes. Each week the Magnet Improv Lab explores the fundementals of long-form improvisation and introduces advanced exercises to challenge improvisers at any level.

DROP-IN IMPROV FOR TEENS with Louie Pearlman
Designed specifically for students 11 years and up, of all experience levels, to learn and explore the fundamentals of comedy improvisation in a fun, supportive and positive environment. You will play games and exercises that teach you to be spontaneous, make discoveries, and grow as a creative individual and as part of a team.

This is a drop-in class, so come to as many or as few classes as your schedule allows, and pay as you go! If you just want to give improv a try, come to one class to get a taste of what improv is like. If you are interested in taking your comedy skills further, many exercises in the class will build off of previous classes, allowing the group to build towards more advanced improv games and forms.

Improv is a great tool for building self-confidence and your artistic voice, it's also an awesome way to meet other people and have fun outside of school!
